Living Trust Workshop: Documents to Funding

As parents, you spend decades building a life, a home, and savings. A living trust is one way families plan for continuity during incapacity, and for passing assets to loved ones without the delays and costs of probate, when the plan is properly set up and followed.

This session is designed for people who want to complete their living trust documents and handle payment with on site partners the same day. If you’re only looking for a general overview, this may not be the right fit.

How the session works

You’ll start with a guided planning intake to confirm your decisions, like trustee and backups, guardians for minor children if needed, and who receives what. On site partners will then prepare your documents. If you proceed, signing and notarization are handled on site. Depending on the package you select, you may also receive instructions for funding the trust, and next steps for retitling assets and handling any county recording needs for real estate.

What to bring for a productive session

Bring a general list of your assets, your property address and how it is currently titled if you know it, and the names and contact details for the people you are considering as trustee, backup trustee, and guardian for minor children. Bring a government issued photo ID for notarization.
